TPREL bags project from MSEDCL for 150 MW solar project

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (MSEDCL) to set up a 150 MW solar project at Solapur, Maharashtra. The LoA was bagged through a tariff-based competitive bidding followed by an e-reverse auction. The project will be commissioned within 18 months from the power purchasing agreement’s (PPA) execution date. With this project, the total renewables capacity of TPREL has reached 5,786 MW.

Recently in October 2022, Tata Power Solar Systems Limited launched their offgrid solar products across West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand. These high-efficiency solar modules, inverters, and batteries are available in eleven variants ranging from 1 kW to 10 kW with a five-year warranty.

Also in the same month, Tata Motors Limited and Tata Power entered into a PPA for a 7 MW captive solar power project at its Pantnagar plant in Uttarakhand. This installation is expected to generate 215 million units of electricity. It will help in mitigating over 0.17 million tonnes of carbon emissions.
