Eastern Coalfields, a division of Coal India has floated bids to design, install, and commission 816 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems across West Bengal and Jharkhand (Part A). The scope of work also includes providing operations and maintenance (O&M) services for 599 kW of installed systems for five years (Part B). The bidders are required to submit bids for both parts of the tender. The systems must be operational within 180 days of the award letter being signed. The anticipated cost of the project is Rs 41.42 million. Also, the bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 517,700.
The selected bidders must submit performance security of 3 per cent of the contract amount within 21 days of issuance of the letter of award. The bid submission deadline is November 28, 2022.
Recently in October 2022, The West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL) has issued a request for proposals to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for a floating solar project at Bakreswar reservoir in West Bengal’s Birbhum district. The project includes selecting a consultant to conduct pre-feasibility studies and finalise capacity.
