GAIL and ADNOC collaborate for opportunities in renewable energy space

The Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together for opportunities in the renewable energy space. The MoU intends to work on new projects and decarbonisation efforts and liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply. The collaboration will also review joint equity investments in renewable energy.

Recently in August 2022, GAIL was looking for a project management consultant to help set up a 10 MW ground-mounted solar power project at its Vijaipur Complex in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna District. The scope of work included tender preparation for engineering, procurement, and construction, construction supervision, quality management, and project commissioning.

Also in May 2022, GAIL planned to develop one of India’s largest proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysers in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. It seeks to supplement its natural gas business with carbon-free fuel.
