NCRTC floats bids for rooftop solar plants at RRTS corridor project

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has issued a request for proposals for the installation of RESCO mode rooftop solar plants in the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor project. The project will connect Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut. The successful bidder’s scope of work will include rooftop solar project design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning, as well as associated support structure works. Additionally, the bidder has to provide comprehensive operations and maintenance support for the next 25 years. The tenure for project completion is about 15 months which includes commissioning.

Recently in October 2022, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) notified the extension of phase-II of grid-connected rooftop solar programme. The programme has been extended till March 31, 2026. It does not have any additional financial implication as the programme is within the originally approved total outlay worth Rs 118.14 billion for both Component A and Component B of the programme.
