RREC calls bids for 50 MW of rooftop solar projects

Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation has issued a request for proposals for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 50 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects across Rajasthan’s state government buildings. Within 24 months of the work order, the chosen bidder must install the systems using the renewable energy service company model. Additionally, the successful bidder must also provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for a period of 25 years. The bidders must submit bids for a minimum capacity of 3 MW and a maximum capacity of 10 MW. The deadline for bids is November 28, 2022.

The bidders must pay Rs 5,900 for the bid document and Rs 1,180 for the e-procurement charges. Small-scale bidders in Rajasthan must provide a bid security of 217,565 per MW of allocated capacity. If the installer fails to complete the work within the specified time frame, a weekly penalty of 5 per cent of the performance bank guarantee value will be levied. The modules used in the projects must be on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers maintained by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Recently in October 2022, the Rajasthan government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jakson Green to invest approximately Rs 224 billion in the state. The MoU intends to establish a 365,000 tons per annum green hydrogen and green ammonia project. The Rajasthan government will be assisting the company for obtaining necessary registrations, approvals, and clearances.
