Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued two tenders for the installation and commissioning of rooftop solar projects totaling 4 MW at two thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh. The first tender is for setting up 1.5 MW of rooftop solar power projects at the Jawaharpur superpower thermal plant in the Etah district of Uttar Pradesh. For this, the bidders are required to submit Rs 150,373 as an earnest money deposit and an amount equivalent to 5 per cent of the total contract value as a security deposit. The project must be completed within seven months.
For the 2.5 MW rooftop tender, BHEL called for proposals to install and commission 2.5 MW of rooftop solar projects at the Obra thermal power plant at Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. Hereby, the bidders need to submit Rs 197,900 as an earnest money deposit and an amount equivalent to 5 per cent of the total contract value as a security deposit. This project must be completed within nine months. The bid submission deadline for both tenders is November 1, 2022.
Recently in August 2022, BHEL invited bids for a ten-year contract for operations and maintenance of a 100 MW grid-connected solar power project at Raghanesda Solar Park (Phase-I) in Gujarat. The contract is valued at approximately Rs 111.33 million.
