The Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science and Technology Promotion Society (CREST) has floated bids to empanel engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies, manufacturers, suppliers, and system integrators for establishing grid-connected rooftop solar projects. The projects shall have capacities ranging from 1 kW to 500 kW. The scope of work under the project includes design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance for a period of five years.The empanelment will remain valid till March 31, 2023 and it may be extended at the discretion of CREST.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 50,000. CREST will be providing CFA upto 40 per cent for the rooftop solar systems with up to 3 kW capacity. For rooftop systems with capacities greater than 3 kW and up to 10 kW, the CFA of 40 per cent will be applicable only for the first 3 kW capacity. However, for capacities greater than 3 kW, CFA of 20 per cent will be provided. The CFA will be limited to 20 per cent for the group housing societies and residential welfare associations that aim to install rooftop systems to supply power to common facilities. The bid submission deadline is November 11, 2022.
Recently in July 2022, CREST floated a tender for the development of a 2 MW of grid-connected floating solar projects with high power evacuation systems in Chandigarh. The project’s anticipated cost was Rs 115 million.
