Hitachi Energy India to supply power transformers to NTPC REL

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has awarded Hitachi Energy India with a contract to supply power transformers for their upcoming 4.75 GW solar park in Runn of Kutch, Gujarat. As part of this project, Hitachi Energy will provide 10 315 MVA 400/33/33 kV transformers manufactured at its transformers factory in Vadodara. The transformers will be manufactured at Hitachi Energy’s Maneja factory clean energy. This solar park spans across 72,600 hectares in Kutch and contributes to a carbon-neutral future by increasing the green energy footprint.

Recently in October 2022, Pennar Industries Limited bagged an order from NTPC REL for its proposed solar project of 500 MW AC / 625 MW DC. The project will be situated at Bhadla, Rajasthan. The company was reported to be the lowest bidder in the competitive bidding against the tender invited by NTPC REL. The anticipated time for the completion of the project is around 12.5 months.
