GUVNL floats bids for 300 MW wind power projects

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has floated bids for 300 MW of grid-connected wind power projects (Phase-IV) with an additional 300 MW greenshoe option. These projects could be implemented throughout the country. GUVNL will enter into a power purchase agreement with the successful bidders for a period of 25 years beginning with the project’s scheduled commercial operation date or full commissioning date, whichever comes first. The minimum bid capacity for intrastate projects and interstate projects will be 25 MW and 50 MW respectively.

The bidders will be required to pay a processing fee of Rs 300,000 along with 18 per cent GST. They will also be required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1 million per MW of quoted capacity. When signing the power purchase agreement, the successful bidder must provide a performance bank guarantee in the amount of Rs 2 million per MW of the quoted capacity. The net worth of bidders as of the end of the previous financial year should not be less than Rs 12 million per MW of quoted capacity. The bidder will be solely responsible for acquiring the necessary land for the project’s establishment.

The project should be designed to connect to a state transmission utility or central transmission utility substation through a dedicated transmission line to deliver energy to the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation’s periphery. The deadline for submitting bids online is November 30, 2022.
