AGEL announces three new subsidiaries for renewable energy sector

Adani Renewable Energy Holding Four Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited has established three new renewable energy subsidiary companies: Adani Renewable Energy Thirty Six Limited, Adani Renewable Energy Forty Limited, and Adani Renewable Energy Forty Seven Limited. The primary goal of the subsidiaries is to generate, develop, transform, distribute, transmit, sell, and supply any type of power or electrical energy using wind energy, solar energy, or other renewable energy sources. The subsidiaries were formed and registered with the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat in Ahmedabad but are yet to begin operations.

Recently in October 2022, the Adani Group announced plans to invest $100 billion over the next decade, primarily in new energy and digital space which includes data centres. As much as 70 per cent of this investment will go towards the energy transition. The company plans to add 45 GW of hybrid renewable power generation capacity as well as 3 giga-factories to produce solar panels, wind turbines, and hydrogen electrolysers. This new capacity will be an addition to the existing 20 GW renewables portfolio of the company and will span across 100,000 hectares of land.
