Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) intends to purchase up to 600 MW of solar power from projects in the Khavda Solar Park, as well as an additional 600 MW through the Greenshoe option. The successful bidders may enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement with GUVNL.
There will be no partial installation of capacity in any plot if permitted, the plots must all have a fixed capacity of 100 MW. Regardless of the number of plots and capacity quoted by bidders, the tariff must be single and uniform for all plots and capacity. According to the tender document, each bidder must place a bid for a minimum of 100 MW capacity and only in multiples of 100 MW.
For the power supply, successful bidders will construct solar power projects in Khavda solar park on a build-own-operate basis. Six plots of 100 MW each have been designated for this tender in the park. Competitive bidding will be used to award the projects, followed by an e-reverse auction.
Recently in July 2022, GUVNL issued a competitive bidding tender to procure upto 1.5 GW of solar power from grid-connected PV projects. Out of the total 1.5 GW capacity, 750 MW will be allocated through a greenshoe option.
