The Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has requested bids for the development of 50 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects based on net-metering. The projects will be situated at the government and semi-government buildings in Uttar Pradesh and will be deployed using the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model. According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit Rs 400,000 per MW of quoted capacity as an earnest money deposit. Also, the chosen bidders must submit a performance bank guarantee of Rs 1.2 million per MW of allocated capacity within 30 days of the work order’s issuance. In addition, the selected developers must provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for a period of 25 years
The bids must be submitted for a minimum aggregate capacity of 1 MW and a maximum aggregate capacity of 5 MW. The project must be completed financially within six months of the work order being awarded. Within twelve months of signing the agreement with UPNEDA, selected developers must commission the awarded capacity. Each project must be between 25 kW and 2 MW in size. A single project may include multiple rooftop units. Each rooftop unit can be connected to the grid independently and may have its own metre. There will be no more than one project allowed for each metre consumer number, with a maximum project size of 2 MW. The deadline for bid submission is October 28, 2022.
Recently in September 2022, UPNEDA issued a request for proposals for the turnkey design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 25 solar cold storage units. The project is expected to cost Rs 50 million and will take four months to be completed. The successful bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operations and maintenance for five years following its commissioning.
