GEDA request proposals for rooftop solar systems

The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) has invited bids for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 1.2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects at hospitals in North and South Goa. The estimated cost of the work at North Goa District Hospital is Rs 37.28 million. The cost of the South Goa District Hospital is estimated to be Rs 38 million. The project must be finished within 180 days of the work order being issued. Developers who are chosen must provide a five-year comprehensive operation and maintenance service. A 600 kW component will be installed at the North Goa District Hospital in Mapusa, Bardez, and another 600 kW component will be installed at the Hospicio South Goa District Hospital in Margao, Salcete.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit Rs 1.5 million as an earnest money deposit. They must also pay a tender processing fee of 0.2 per cent of the estimated tender value, up to a maximum of Rs 6,000. The selected developers must obtain approval from the distribution licensee and state electrical inspector for each separate electrical connection for interfacing the project with electrical loads during grid voltage failure. Net metering will be used in accordance with Goa Electricity Department guidelines.The bid submission deadline is October 20, 2022.

Recently, Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) also invited bids for the installation and commissioning of 5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects. The projects will differ in capacities and will be placed on various government buildings in Jharkhand. The project is estimated to cost Rs 400 million and is expected to be completed within four months of the bid being awarded.
