GE Renewable Energy has announced the receipt of orders for supplying, installing and commissioning 81 units of its 2.7-132 onshore wind turbines for the 218.70 MW wind power projects to Continuum Green Energy Limited. The wind turbines will be situated across Tamil Nadu and Madhya Pradesh.
The orders have been placed by Continuum subsidiaries Continuum MP Windfarm Development Private Limited and Dalavaipuram Renewables Private Limited. The wind farms that are being operated by the Continuum will be responsible for providing accessible, affordable, and reliable energy to local businesses and consumers.
GE Renewable Energy is an important component of the GE Vernova portfolio of energy businesses. Combining onshore and offshore wind, blades, hydro, storage, utility-scale solar, and grid solutions as well as hybrid renewables and digital services offerings, GE Renewable Energy has installed more than 400 GW of clean renewable energy.
Earlier this month, GE Renewable Energy announced that it has been selected by Green Power Investment (GPI) as the supplier for the Fukaura Wind Farm in Fukaura Town, Nishi Tsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. The project, which will feature 19 units of GE’s 4.2-117 onshore wind turbine, represents GE’s third project with GPI in Japan.
