BPCL floats bids for 6 MW solar project in Kerala

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has floated bids for a 6 MW solar power project at its refinery in Kochi, Kerala. The scope of work of the project includes engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the facility. Also, the chosen bidder will be responsible for project’s operations and maintenance for a period of five years. The project must be completed within 150 days from the letter of acceptance.

According o the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit Rs 1 million as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount equivalent to 3 per cent of the total contract value within 15 days for award notification as a performance security deposit.

The solar modules to be used for the project should be 144 cells with a rated power of module greater than or equal to 540 Wp for solar modules power performance test prescribed by the latest edition of IEC 61215. The bids submission deadline is October 14, 2022.

Recently in August 2022, BPCL floated bids to establish a 14 MW grid-connected solar power project at its Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh on a turnkey basis. The range of work in the project includes procurement, fabrication, inspection, transportation, erection, installation, construction, residual engineering, detailed engineering, and testing.
