Hero MotoCorp and HPCL collaborate for EV charging infrastructure

Hero MotoCorp and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have partnered to develop charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) in India. The companies will set up charging infrastructure for two-wheeler EVs across the country as part of this initiative.

The two companies will first set up charging infrastructure at HPCL’s existing nationwide network of energy stations, with the possibility of later extending the collaboration for additional business opportunities. Charging stations will be installed at selected cities in the first phase. Later, they will be expanded to other key markets with the goal of establishing a high-density EV charging station network across the country.

Each charging station will have multiple smart and fast chargers, as well as DC and AC chargers for all two-wheeler EVs. A Hero MotoCorp mobile application based on a cashless transaction model will control the entire user charging experience.
