AICTSL floats bids for solar EV charging stations in Indore

The Atal Indore City Transport Service (AICTSL) has called for bids to set up, operate, and maintain 47 solar integrated electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the city. The successful bidder will be responsible to design, build, finance, operate, and transfer model for the period of 12 years. The EV charging stations must be installed within six months of signing the contract.

The charging stations will be divided into two categories. There will be ten charging stations for electric four-wheelers in Category A. For Category B, 37 charging stations will be installed for electric two and three-wheelers.

According to the tender guidelines, bidders must deposit Rs 423,000 as earnest money. They must also pay Rs 40,000 as construction and operations and maintenance performance security for each Category A charging station and Rs 20,000 for each Category B charging station.

The recommendations for locations of charging stations have been made by AICTSL. The bidders must have designed, procured, and installed a minimum of 30 EV charging stations for any state or public sector undertaking, as well as central and other government bodies, using the public-private partnership model. The deadline for bid submissions is October 20, 2022.
