The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) has floated bids to install and commission 16 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems along two stretches of the Hyderabad Growth Corridor’s outer ring road in Telangana. The captive model will help in establishing 14 MW of the total 16 MW capacity while the net metering arrangement will develop 2 MW. The renewable energy service company (RESCO) model will be used to set up the project. According to the tender guidelines, bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1 million per MW.
The tender’s ceiling tariff has been set at Rs 4.50 per kWh. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bank guarantee of Rs 2 million per MW. Following the reverse auction, a total capacity of 16 MW will be awarded to a single bidder on a cumulative basis. The project must be completed within four months of the award letter’s issuance date. The successful bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance for the next 25 years. Bidders must have prior experience in implementing rooftop solar or ground-mounted projects with a capacity of 25 MW anywhere in India. The bid submission deadline is September 29, 2022.
Recently in September 2022, TSREDCO issued a request for proposals to install and commission 3.07 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems. The systems will be equipped with net metering and will be installed at 1,521 government schools throughout Telangana. According to the tender guidelines, the successful bidder will be responsible for the project’s operations and maintenance for a period of five years. The capital expenditure model will be used to develop the projects.
