Gensol completes 6.7 MWp solar project for Shree Cement

Gensol notified that it has completed a 6.7 MWp ground-mounted solar project for self-consumption by Shree Cement Limited. The plant will be responsible to provide power to Shree Cement’s cement manufacturing facility situated at Panipat, Haryana. The project uses Waaree’s 540Wp mono PERC modules and Sungrow’s 200 kW inverters. It will help in saving approximately 9,192 metric tons equivalent of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

Gensol Engineering was founded in the year 2012. The company provides technical due diligence, detailed engineering, quality control, construction oversight, and other consulting services for solar projects. As of now, its EPC business has installed more than 350 MW of solar power plants.

Recently in August 2022, Gensol announced plans to enter the electric vehicle (EV) market with segments in personal mobility and cargo EVs. The company intends to open its EV manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune with a monthly capacity of producing 1,200 units. The plant is expected to begin its production from October 2022 and start final deliveries from January 2023.
