NTPC has invited bids for the development of grid-connected rooftop solar systems in Chhattisgarh. The rooftop solar system would be located on buildings at NTPC’s facility in Korba and would entail a capacity of 1.1 MW.
As per the tender guidelines, the scope of work includes the supply, erection, testing, and inspection of equipment and materials, packing, supply, transportation, transit insurance, delivery to site, unloading, storage, and equipment erection, including associated civil and structural works, if any.
The prospective bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 0.5 million. Bidders should have experience in design, supply, erection, and commissioning of grid-connected solar projects of a cumulative capacity of 880 kW or above, with at least one project of 100 kW or above. The said project should also have been in successful operation for at least six months as of the bid opening date. Furthermore, the average annual turnover of bidders should not be less than Rs 44.4 million during the last three financial years prior to the bid opening date. The bid submission deadline is October 7, 2022.
Earlier this month, NTPC Limited entered into an agreement to supply renewable energy to Military Engineering Services. This is the first agreement by the Indian armed forces for sourcing of renewable energy. This will help in gradually decarbonising the armed forces. A power purchase agreement for renewable energy from NTPC Solapur and power uses agreement for renewable energy from upcoming NTPC Khavda has been signed.
