Flipkart and Magenta Mobility partner for EVs in Delhi

Flipkart has partnered with Magenta Mobility, an electric fleet operator to deploy 400 electric cargo vehicles that would help in electrifying its fleets in Delhi NCR. Magenta has officially moved into the Delhi NCR with this collaboration. The deployment is in addition to Magenta’s current fleet for Flipkart in Bengaluru. The company intends to deploy a fleet of over 500 EVs in Delhi this year.

At present, more than 500 electric vehicles (EV) are operated by Magenta Mobility in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai to serve customers in the e-commerce, grocery delivery, FMCG, food, and pharmaceutical industries. Its electric cargo fleet has travelled over 1 million kilometres to date, saving approximately 150 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

In July 2022, Magenta Mobility announced its collaboration with Amazon India. Through this partnership, Magenta Mobility will work with Amazon India to induct a fleet of electric vehicles including two and four-wheeler electric vehicles for its delivery partners in the city of Hyderabad.
