GSECL floats bids for 1.5 MW rooftop solar system

The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has issued a request for proposal for a 1.5 MW rooftop solar system in Vadodara, Gujarat. The scope of work in the project includes design, engineering, supply and procurement, erection, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) . The winning bidder will be responsible for undertaking O&M of rooftop solar systems for a period of five years.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit Rs 300,000 as an earnest money deposit. After accepting the letter of intent, bidders must submit 10 percent of the EPC contract sum as a performance bank guarantee within seven days. After passing the performance ratio test, bidders must submit 1 percent of the EPC contract price as an O&M bank guarantee.

The rooftop solar panels ranging between 200 kW to 500 kW will be installed across various GSECL premises. All necessary equipment must be transported to the project site, unloaded, and then reloaded. After receiving notice to proceed for each site, the successful bidder must commission the project within six months.
