IRCON Renewable Power floats EPC tender for solar projects in Karnataka

IRCON Renewable Power (IRPL) has issued request for proposals for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package. The project will be developed in accordance with the domestic content requirement. The scope of work includes 500 MW of grid connected solar power project design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, all related to civil work installation and commissioning.

The winning bidder will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the project for a period of three years. The company intends to finance the project through a financing arrangement. Also, bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 114.95 million. Within 28 days of award notification, the successful bidder must provide contract performance security in the amount of 3 per cent of the contract price. The project must be finished within 17 months of being awarded.

Recently in July 2022, TP Saurya Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Power was awarded a letter of award from the Solar Energy Corporation of India for the establishment of a 600 MW hybrid including wind, and solar power plant in Karnataka.
