SGEL floats tender for floating solar project in Himachal Pradesh

SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids from contractors to build a 15 MW floating solar project. The project will be executed at Nangal Pond in Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance. As per the tender guidelines, bidders must submit Rs 11 million as an earnest money deposit.

The contractor’s scope of work includes delivering the commissioned project to SGEL from inception to delivery. The project should be completed within 540 days of receiving the work order. The average annual turnover of bidders over the last three financial years must be Rs 300 million. They are also required to submit a bank certificate highlighting that they have sufficient funds to provide a bank guarantee of Rs 1.5 million/MW of total capacity. The bid submission deadline is September 15, 2022.

Earlier this month, SJVN Limited announced an agreement with Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited. The association seeks to build a 220 KV direct current single zebra transmission line for the 210 MW Luhri hydroelectric project stage-1. The hydroelectric project spans across the Himachal Pradesh districts of Shimla, Mandi, and Kullu.
