IOCL floats bids for land purchase for 10 MW solar project

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has floated bids for the purchase of 50 acres of land in Odisha for a 10 MW solar power project. According to tender guidelines, bidders must submit Rs 50,000 as an earnest money deposit. The property must be located within 10 kilometres of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation substation and the land must be free of all impediments.

Also, the consultant will carry out a land survey to determine the depth of the land from the adjoining road as well as the volume of earth needed for filling and levelling the land. The variation in the land should be within two metres of the adjacent road, and this should be cross-verified by an IOCL consultant. There should be provisions for potable water and the ease of obtaining electrical power. The land should not be below the mean sea level or a wetland. The property should not be in a densely populated area. The consultant will survey the transmission line’s right of way from the land to the nearest OPTCL substation. The bid submission deadline is September 26, 2022.

Recently in July 2022, IOCL and NTPC Limited announced the establishment of their joint venture company to address the power requirements of the forthcoming refinery projects of IOCL through renewable energy sources.
