Sterling and Wilson wins bid for BoS package of NTPC’s 1,225 MW solar project

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy has won the bid for the balance of system (BoS) package of the proposed 1,255 MW of solar power projects being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy at the Khavda renewable park in Gujarat’s Kutch region. NTPC Renewable Energy invited bids in June 2022 for the BoS package for 1,255 MW (three 315 MW and one 310 MW projects) of solar projects at the Khavda Renewable Park. The total contract value including operations and maintenance for three years is approximately Rs 22 billion.

In June 2022, NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC issued a request for proposals for the BoS package that excludes land and transmission systems for a 500 MW STU-connected solar project in Bhadla, Rajasthan.

In February 2022, the winners of NTPC’s auction for the BoS package for the 735 MW Nokh solar project in Rajasthan were announced. The winners were Amara Raja Group, Larsen & Toubro, and Jackson Group.
