Ohmium International, a US-based clean energy start-up is collaborating with Shell India to assess hydrogen applications, markets, and project opportunities in India and around the world. Both parties intend to form joint working groups to assess opportunities from the technical, commercial, and safety perspectives as part of the collaboration. The collected efforts by the companies aim to boost Shell’s ambition to contribute to the development of a global hydrogen economy by identifying the most competitive opportunities in the production, storage, transportation, and delivery of hydrogen to end users.
Recently in August 2022, Ohmium collaborated with Spirare Energy, a Delhi-based company to generate green hydrogen at the NTPC NETRA campus. Spirare Energy will manage the engineering, procurement and construction of the project whereas Ohmium will provide the electrolysers to Spirare. The Spirare-Ohmium project is part of NTPC’s NETRA Green Campus Project.
Earlier in March 2022, Ohmium and India’s CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI), Karaikudi announced an agreement under which Ohmium will fund CSIR-CECRI to develop new materials in the form of carbon free hydrogen carriers.
