A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between NHPC Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited for the setting up of a GigaWatt scale vertically integrated solar manufacturing unit. The MoU was signed by the directors of both the companies.
In July 2022, NHPC Limited and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) agreed to create a joint venture company to explore and develop hydropower and pump storage projects. Both companies are planning to work together for developing hydropower and pump storage projects as energy storage solutions. The MoU called for the collaboration on mutually identified projects.
In the same month, NHPC signed two MoUs for the implementation of “pilot green hydrogen technologies” in the districts of Leh and Kargil in Ladakh.
