BHEL floats O&M tender for 100 MW solar project in Gujarat

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has invited bids for a ten-year contract for operations and maintenance (O&M) of a 100 MW grid-connected solar power project at Raghanesda Solar Park (Phase-I) in Gujarat. The contract is valued at approximately Rs 111.33 million. As per the tender guidelines, the bidders must submit Rs 1 million earnest money deposit and provide an amount equal to 5 per cent of the contract value as a security deposit. The bid submission deadline is August 22, 2022.

In July 2022, BHEL issued a tender for supplying 10.27 million monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear contact solar cells. These solar cells must have wattage output of 5.38 W.

In June 2022, BHEL issued two tenders for the supply of monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear contact solar modules for solar projects totaling 4.16 MW at two thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh. Prior to that, it issued a tender for the supply of 9.3 MW monocrystalline solar photovoltaic modules with non-domestic content requirement in April 2022.

Recently in July 2022, BHEL successfully commissioned a 100 MW floating solar photovoltaic plant at NTPC Ramagundam in Telangana. The components used in the solar plant were indigenous contributing to the government’s “Make in India” campaign.
