Tender released for O&M of solar project in Telangana

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad has requested proposals for the long-term operation and maintenance (O&M) contract of a 4 MW solar power project. The project will be located at the University College of Engineering Sultanpur in Telangana’s Sangareddy district. The 4 MW solar power project and 22 KM of 33 KV transmission line from the 132 KV Annasagar substation in Jogipet to the University College of Engineering Sultanpur will be operated and maintained under the terms of the contract.

According to the tender guidelines, bidders must submit Rs 55,000 as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder should give a performance bank guarantee of Rs 250/kW totaling Rs 1 million for the 4 MW project. The turnkey contract will be valid for 10 years from the contract’s signing date or until the date that the institute specifies. Also, bidders must have more than five years of experience in the field of installation, O&M, and commissioning of solar power systems for office buildings, commercial premises, and industrial houses with a total capacity of 300 kW wherein individual work is not less than 100 kW during last five financial years.The deadline for proposal submissions is August 25, 2022.

Recently in July 2022, NTPC Limited established a 100 MW floating solar power plant at Ramagundam, Peddapalli district in Telangana. The plant has been completely commissioned with the commercial operation of the final capacity of 20 MW. The entire project spans over 500 acres.
