CESL floats tender for EV charging projects across India

Convergence Energy Services (CESL), a fully-owned division of Energy Efficiency Services, has requested proposals in order to choose vendors for the project of 80 units of CCS2 50/60 kW electric vehicle (EV) chargers across different locations throughout India. The scope of work includes location survey, planning, design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning.

According to the tender guidelines, the selected bidder shall give a three-year full on-site warranty and upto ten years of yearly charger maintenance. They must also submit Rs 3.49 million as earnest money deposit. The selected bidder needs to submit a contract performance guarantee equal to 3 percent of the project within 28 days of the work order being issued.The bid submission deadline is August 10,2022. 

In April 2022,CESL issued a request for proposal for the installation and maintenance of 810 EV charging stations for four-wheelers across 16 highways and expressways in India. The installations are on a build, own, and operate model for eight years, which can be extended to ten years.
