NTPC invites tender for O&M services for solar projects

NTPC has released a request for proposals from eligible vendors for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants up to 50 MW. The selected vendor will be responsible to execute breakdown maintenance, maintenance checks, and overhauls of the solar plants. The work duties shall comprise operation, maintenance, and housekeeping for the entire solar project. 

According to the tender guidelines, bidders must have completed the construction and commissioning of 10 MW or greater capacity solar projects with grid connection within the past five years. Otherwise, the bidder must have completed the O&M of a 10 MW or more grid-connected solar power plant in a single order for at least one year in the previous five years. The bid submission deadline is August 11, 2022.

In July 2022, NTPC issued a tender for the supply, installation, and commissioning of solar cold storage units in Senegal, Djibouti, Sudan, and Seychelles. Only bidders from International Solar Alliance member countries were eligible to participate. As part of this tender 5 MT solar-based cold storage systems are to be set up in Senegal, 2X2 MT in Djibouti, 5 MT in Sudan, and 5 MT in Seychelles.
