The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) has called for bids to build and commission 200 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar systems under Jammu Solar City Mission. The systems shall be of varying capacities as part of Phase II under MNRE Rooftop Solar Program.
Solar modules and cells utilised for the project should be manufactured in India with a minimum power output of 250 W and an efficiency of at least 16 percent. Bidders must offer a price for the solar systems based on the MNRE benchmark cost. Bidders must have prior expertise with the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar installations through public or private sector undertakings. The bid submission deadline is July 29, 2022.
In March 2022, the Solar Energy Corporation of India issued a request for proposals for the design, engineering, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 5 MW grid-connected saffron-based agro solar power plant in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pulwama area.
The Joint Electricity and Regulatory Commission has also announced the ‘Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO), RPO’s compliance and REC framework Implementation Regulations, 2022’ for Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
