SMA Solar Technology AG has introduced the Sunny Tripower X inverter, a new three-phase inverter series designed for use in residential and commercial PV projects with outputs of up to 135 kW. The devices measure 728 mm x 762 mm x 266 mm and weigh 35 kg, with efficiency ratings of up to 98.3 per cent and a European efficiency rating of up to 98 per cent. The MPP voltage range is between 206 V and 800 V, with a maximum input voltage of 1,000 V. It also has an operating temperature range of -25 to 60 degrees Celsius and IP65 protection. The Sunny Tripower X devices have a system manager function that links to the Sunny Portal for holistic, intelligent energy management ennexOS. There are four models in the new range, with power ratings of 12 kW, 15 kW, 20 kW and 25 kW. It includes three independent MPP trackers as well as six string inputs. The inverters provide grid-compliant power regulation for entire systems and enable PV systems to be overdimensioned by up to 150 per cent.
