NTPC has issued a request for proposals for a solar photovoltaic module package for the 735 MW (3*245MW) Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan. The scope of work comprises manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, and transportation to the Nokh project site, including inland transit insurance of crystalline bifacial solar photovoltaic modules with a minimum nominal rating of 530 W and a maximum nominal rating of 560 W. The modules need to adhere to the DCR’s domestic content requirements. NTPC will finance the package through its resources. The bid submission deadline is July 28, 2022. The bidders must submit a document fee of Rs 22,500.
As per the tender guidelines, the winning bidders will receive the package in four categories with varying module capacities. The bid security amount is Rs 50 million for bidders submitting bids for a 152 MW module capacity; Rs 100 million for a 304 MW (152 MW*2) module capacity; and Rs 200 million for 456 MW (152 MW*3) and 608 (152 MW*4) module capacities. For the tender, only “Class-local suppliers” are eligible to apply. Before the bid opening date, bidders must have manufactured and supplied solar PV modules with a cumulative capacity of at least 40 MW, at least one of which supply orders must be for a project with a capacity of at least 10 MW.
Recently, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) signed a MoU with the government of Rajasthan for the deployment of a 10 GW mega renewable energy power park in Rajasthan. The signing of the MoU is another step towards accomplishing NTPC’s target of adding 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
