NTPC and Rajasthan government sign MoU for 10 GW renewable park

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has signed an MoU with the government of Rajasthan for the deployment of a 10 GW mega renewable energy power park in Rajasthan. The signing of the MoU is another step towards accomplishing NTPC’s target of adding 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.

NTPC REL has secured 4 GW of renewable energy capacity in less than two years by participating in several bids at varying stages of execution. Furthermore, NTPC REL is building a 4.75 GW facility in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, and has signed a joint venture agreement with Damodar Valley Corporation for the development of renewable power parks and projects.

In June 2022, the company was accepting global bids for the supply of 135 MWdc of crystalline solar modules for a PV project in the Baran district, Rajasthan. The modules should have a minimum nominal power of 530 W.
