BHEL invites tender for 10.27 million solar cells

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender for supplying 10.27 million monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear contact solar cells. These solar cells must have wattage output of 5.38 W. The tender guidelines outline the eligible solar cell composition briefly.

These include the length of the cell which should be five busbars. Further, the cell dimensions should be 158.75+/-0.5 by 158.75+/-0.5. These cells should not have defects like cracks, spots, patches, cuts and other damages in order for them to be eligible. The bid submission deadline is July 15, 2022.

In June 2022, BHEL issued two tenders for the supply of monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear contact solar modules for solar projects totaling 4.16 MW at two thermal power plants in Uttar Pradesh. Prior to that, it issued a tender for the supply of 9.3 MW monocrystalline solar photovoltaic modules with non-domestic content requirement in April 2022.
