Haryana issues a tender for 121 MW of solar power projects

Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) has invited bids to install 121 MW of grid connected solar power projects. The projects shall be located across three locations – Faridabad, Panipat, and Yamuna Nagar. The winning bidder will also be responsible for project operations and maintenance for 15 years. The bid submission deadline is August 8, 2022. Within nine months of issue of the letter of intent, the project must be commissioned.

In the first year, the solar power projects should have a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor of 17 percent. The bidder must have experience in this space with cumulative installed capacities of at least 25 MW as per tender’s specifications for design, supply, construction, supervision, and commissioning. At least one plant from the bidder’s earlier projects needs to have a capacity of 6 MW or more.

In November 2021, Panipat Thermal Station, a subsidiary of HPGCL, issued a request for proposals for the operation and maintenance of its 10 MW grid-connected solar power project. The project was commissioned in 2016 and has 34,940 solar modules of 315 W supplied by JA Solar and 1,820 modules of 325 W by Canadian Solar. Hitachi delivered eight solar inverters, each rated at 1,250 kW.
