
Punjab Electricity Development Agency (PEDA) has invited bids for the installation of a cumulative capacity of 5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems. The project is oriented towards installation of solar rooftop systems over government buildings in the state. Upon success, the bidder will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the project for a period of five years.
As per the tender, bidders will be required to submit Rs 500,000 as an earnest money deposit. Additionally, previsiouly installed and commissioned solar power systems of a cumulative capacity of 1,000 kW in the last seven financial years for any government agency, state nodal agency, or private sector in India is also a necessary requirement from the bidder. The successful bidder will have to furnish a performance bank guarantee for 10 per cent of the work order value valid for eight months, within 21 days from the date of issue of the work order. The bid submission deadline is July 18, 2022.
In January 2022, Punjab Genco, a wholly-owned company of Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), floated a 16 MW tender for the design, manufacture, supply, testing, and commissioning of solar power projects in the Bhatinda district of Punjab. PEDA also floated a tender for 18 MW of grid-connected solar power projects at four locations of the Bhakra Beas Management Board on the build, own, and operate basis in December 2021.
