
The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL) has issued a request for proposals for a 105 MW grid-connected floating solar project to be developed at Erai Dam Solar Park in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district. The bid submission deadline is July 15, 2022.
As per the tender guidelines the bidders must provide Rs 1.054 million per MW as an earnest money deposit. As a performance bank guarantee the winning bidder must provide Rs 2.107 million per MW. The winning bidder should declare the project’s capacity utilisation factor upon signing the power purchase agreement, with the option of modifying it once within the first year of commissioning. In addition, the bidders must have constructed floating solar projects with a minimum aggregate capacity of 30 MW or a floating solar project with a minimum capacity of 2.5 MW, with 1 MW commissioned. They should have experience developing ground-mounted rooftop solar with at least 100 MW of aggregate capacity. Alternatively, the bidder should have experience developing ground-mounted solar projects with a total capacity of at least 200 MW.
In May 2022, the winners of Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited’s (RUMSL) auction for the 600 MW floating solar park in the Omkareshwar reservoir in Madhya Pradesh were Amp Energy, NHDC, and SJVN. RUMSL is a joint venture between Solar Energy Corporation of India and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. Amp Energy was awarded 100 MW at a quoted tariff of Rs 3.21 per kWh, while NHDC was awarded 100 MW at a quoted tariff of Rs 3.22 per kWh. SJVN was awarded the remaining 100 MW capacity at Rs 3.26 per kWh.
