Hindustan Petroleum call bids for 2.39 MW solar projects

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has issued a tender for installing 2.39 MW (DC) of ground-mounted and rooftop solar systems across 13 HPCL locations in country. The deadline for submission of bids is June 30, 2022. The grid-interactive solar project will be connected to local utility under net metering agreement. Any surplus energy generated that is not consumed by HPCL will be credited to the utility in the monthly billing. HPCL announced rated capacity of solar modules to be equal to or greater than 325 W across all locations.

In March 2022, Statiq, an electric vehicle (EV) charging network, partnered with HPCL to boost the number of public Statiq chargers in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand to over 200. Last year in September, HPCL floated a tender to construct a 1.3 MW ground-mounted solar project at its Yediyur Receiving Station in the Tumakuru district, Karnataka. The scope of work comprises the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project.
