NTPC floats BoS tender for 500 MW of solar projects in Rajasthan

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC Renewables), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has issued a request for proposals for the balance of system (BoS) package (excluding land and transmission system) for a 500 MW STU-connected solar project in Bhadla, Rajasthan. From the date of commissioning, the bidder will be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for three years. The bid submission deadline is July 14, 2022.

As per the tender guidelines, the bidders must provide bid security in the amount of Rs 100 million. The bidder should have designed, supplied, and commissioned BoS for grid-connected solar projects of 40 MW or more as an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor or developer. At least one plant with a capacity of 10 MW or greater must have been in operation for at least six months prior to the bid opening date. The average annual turnover of the bidder should not be less than Rs 2.7 billion for any three financial years out of the preceding five financial years as of the bid opening date.

Earlier this month, NTPC Renewables issued a request for proposals for a BoS package for solar projects totalling 1,255 MW (3*315 MW+1*310 MW) in the Khavda Renewable Park in Gujarat’s Kutch area. The scope of work comprises the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar power projects, excluding the supply of solar modules. The bid submission deadline is July 6, 2022.
