Tata Power Solar commissions a landmark EPC project in Rajasthan

Tata Power Solar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has completed the construction of a 450 MWDC solar plant for Brookfield Renewable India. The installation included the setup of over 800,000 modules and was completed within a 7-month time frame. The project will produce over 800 GWh of clean energy per year and help to avoid up to 600,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

Reportedly, with the usage of 535 Wp and 540 Wp bifacial modules on a large scale, for smooth execution of the project, tractors and back loaders were used to support the frames, handle modules and higher capacity equipment. On-site infrastructure support and amenities were provided to the project workers to ensure improved productivity at the site and speedier execution of the project.

In May 2022, Sungrow completed India’s largest battery energy storage system (BESS) facility at Phyang, Leh, UT of Ladakh, with Tata Power Solar Systems Limited. The BESS has a capacity of 60.56 MWh. This factory is situated at 3400 metres above sea level, where the temperature is quite cold.
