
The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has issued a request for proposals for the long-term procurement of power from 500 MW of intrastate grid-connected solar power projects (Phase-VII). The bid submission deadline is July 18, 2022.
As per the tender guidelines, the bidders will have to submit Rs 400,000 per MW as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to furnish Rs 1.1 million per MW as a performance bank guarantee valid for seven months. The minimum project capacity will be 25 MW at a single location, with a minimum bid capacity of 50 MW for projects. The project capacity should be a multiple of 25 MW beyond the minimum project capacity of 25 MW. At a single location, the minimum project capacity will be 25 MW, with a minimum bid capacity of 50 MW for projects. Beyond the minimum project capacity of 25 MW, the project capacity should be a multiple of 25 MW.
In May 2022, MSEDCL issued a request for proposals for 325 MW of power from intrastate wind projects. MSEDCL has set a ceiling tariff of Rs 2.65 per kWh for the tender. MSEDCL would enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the bidders to purchase wind power for 12 years from the execution of the PPA or the date of expiry of the energy purchase agreement for the existing wind power projects.
