
Gurugram based ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited has signed an MoU with Karnataka government to invest Rs 520 billion for setting up a green hydrogen and green ammonia plant in Mangaluru, along with the associated solar power plant. The MoU was signed by Dr. EV Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary in the Commerce and Industries Department and Sandeep Kashyap, Chief Operating Officer of ACME Cleantech Solutions in the presence of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
ACME Group has already established the world’s first integrated green hydrogen-ammonia and solar plant in Bikaner, Rajasthan, which has started production. The company had signed an MoU for an investment of Rs 500 billion in the renewable energy sector with the state during the recent World Economic Forum Meet held at Davos in Switzerland.
The Karnataka government, meanwhile, has reportedly assured ACME of the required support and cooperation for speedy implementation of the project. Further, the state is also formulating a green hydrogen policy.
