SECI floats a tender for 22 MW solar project in Telangana

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has requested proposals for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 22 MW overburden dump-based solar project at the Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) Ramagundam site in Telangana. The winning bidder will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project for ten years. The bid submission deadline is June 15, 2022.

As per the tender guidelines, the solar cells and modules must be manufactured in India, preferably by manufacturers listed on the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. During the previous three financial years, the bidder’s average annual turnover should have been at least Rs 731.3 million. Furthermore, the bidder’s net worth for the previous financial year should be positive. As an earnest money deposit, bidders must provide Rs 36.6 million.

In March 2022, SECI floated an EPC tender for the development of 44 MW of solar projects at SCCL in Telangana, as well as 10 years of O&M. The scope of work comprises a tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 44 MW (AC) ground-based solar PV power plant at various locations, as well as 10 years of plant operation and maintenance at Singareni Collieries Company Limited in Telangana, India.
