BMC floats a consultancy tender for a 20 MW solar project in Bhopal

Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a request for proposal from consultants to provide consultancy services for the installation of 20 MW of solar projects to supply electricity to the city’s high-tension (HT) consumers. The project’s estimated cost is Rs 16 million, and the contract will be valid for 18 months. The bid submission deadline is June 6, 2022.

As per the tender guidelines, to participate in the bidding process, the bidders will have to submit Rs 80,000 as an earnest money deposit. When the letter of intent is issued, the winning bidder will have to furnish Rs 1 million as a performance bank guarantee. The objective of the tender is to engage a renowned consultant to assist in the development of solar power projects that will supply power in various ways. The bidder or selected member of the consulting team must have a minimum of ten years of work experience in renewable energy-based projects, with at least seven years of experience in solar system-based power projects.

Earlier this month, Indian Oil Corporation Limited issued a request for proposals for consulting services to set up a 2.25 MW solar project at its Jabalpur LPG bottling plant. Consultants are required to assist with long-term open access and project registration with Madhya Pradesh’s renewable energy department. The project is expected to cost Rs 493,240. The bid submission deadline is May 24, 2022.
