Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments (REIL), a joint venture between the central and state government in Rajasthan, has issued a request for proposals for 180,000 monocrystalline or multicrystalline solar cells with a capacity of 5.64 W. The dimensions of the cells should be 158.75*158.75 1 mm. The 5.64 W cells must have a length of five busbars and a thickness of 200+/- 20 um. The estimated value of the bid is Rs 9 million. The bid submission deadline is May 31, 2022.
As per the tender guidelines, to participate in the bidding process, bidders will not be required to pay an earnest money deposit. The cells must be devoid of cracks or pinholes, edge chipping, and paste smudges on the front side of the cell. There should be no visible colour or pattern mismatch between the cells. REIL has specified that deep blue silicon nitride anti-reflection coating on both sides of the cells will be preferred. If an MSE bidder quotes within the L1+15 per cent price band, they will be allowed to supply 25 per cent of the total quantity if the L1 price is accepted by the MSE bidder. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or its authorised seller should have a registered office in India to provide after-sales service support.
In February 2022, REIL issued a request for proposals for the delivery of 200,000 monocrystalline or multicrystalline solar cells with a wattage output higher than or equal to 4.62W. As per the tender guidelines, the cells must have dimensions of 156 x 156 1.0 mm and a length of five busbars. The cell thickness should be 200 um +/- 20 um.
