RUMSL floats a consultancy tender for 44 MW of solar projects

Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has invited bids to select a project management consultant to conduct technical studies and develop the request for proposal (RfP). The purpose of the RfP is to find an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor and supervise construction and operation of 44 MW of solar power projects. The projects would be located near or at the thermal power plants of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited. The bid submissions deadline is May 30, 2022.

As per the tender guidelines, to be eligible for the bidding process, bidders will be required to furnish bid security of Rs 500,000. The winning bidder will be required to provide a performance bank guarantee of 5 per cent of the contract amount, valid for 36 months. The consultant will be expected to undertake studies at the following sites within or near existing thermal plants. Ground-mounted solar projects of 12 MW at the Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project in Khandwa. Khandwa’s Shree Singaji Thermal Power Project has a 2 MW rooftop solar capacity. Birshingpur’s Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station has 25 MW ground-mounted projects. Ground-mounted solar projects of 5 MW at Amarkantak Thermal Power Station in Chachai.

In April 2022, on behalf of Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited, RUMSL – the joint venture between the Solar Energy Corporation of India and the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, issued a request for proposal for the development of 750 MW grid-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects in Madhya Pradesh. The bid submission deadline is June 1, 2022.
