NLC issues tender for 100 MW ISTS-connected solar projects

Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) India Limited, a Chennai-based thermal energy company, has issued a tender for a 100 MW Inter State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power project with operations and maintenance for a period of three years. The bid submission deadline is June 6, 2022.

Previously, NLC invited bids on 100 MW ISTS-connected, solar power projects across India. The scope of work involved obtaining approval for connectivity, design, engineering, land procurement, site development, supply erection, testing and commissioning the total 100 MW solar power plant’s capacity and associated evacuation system.

In August 2021, the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) awarded a 1,200 MW ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects (Tranche-IV) to NTPC Limited, NLC India Limited, Project Ten Renewable Power (Ayana Renewable Power), and Azure Power on a build, own and operate basis across India. NTPC and Ayana Power were awarded a capacity of 450 MW at a quoted tariff of Rs 2.34 per kWh, while NLC India was awarded a capacity of 150 MW at a quoted tariff of Rs. 2.34 per kWh. Meanwhile, Azure Power was awarded a capacity of 150 MW out of 300 MW under the bucket filling method at a quoted tariff of Rs 2.35 perkWh.
